Chittagong Zoo
Chittagong Zoo is a Zoo in Chittagong, Bangladesh.[3] With a territory of 6 sections of land of land it is situated around three kilometers north-east of the city, close by at the passage of Foy's lake, inverse the lower regions of the mountains of USTC Medical College.
History
In 1988, MA Mannan, previous Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong region and some different elites of the city, at first stepped up with regards to set up a private zoo at Foy's lake with the end goal of amusement, instruction and research on zoo animals.[4] It is arranged at uneven place where there is Foy's lake, South-Khulshi, Chittagong. Afterward, on February 8, 1989 the zoo was opened for the visitors.[2] Initially 4.90 sections of land of land was designated by the Bangladesh Government, which a short time later expanded to 6 acres.[1]
Attractions
At first there were 5 unique species and aggregate number of creatures were 23. After that the aggregate number of species has been expanded to 67, among them 32 are Mammals, 28 are Birds and rest of 7 are Reptiles inside the aggregate number of creatures were 367.[1]
In 2015, the aggregate number of creatures are 320.[2]
