Botanical Garden and Eco-Park, Sitakunda

History

This is the principal eco-stop in Bangladesh. It was built up in 2001 on 808 hectares. The primary motivations behind making such eco parks are putting away biodiversity, preservation.

Area and location

The Sitakunda Botanical Garden and Eco Park is situated along the Dhaka– Chittagong Highway in Sitakunda Upazila, Sitakunda, Chittagong. The zone of Eco Park is around 996 sections of land (403 ha) or, in other words backwoods side of Chandranath Hills of Sitakunda.

Lake Front Spine of the Eco Park, pine-tree lined pathway intended for the guests to appreciate the excellence of the water bodies, for example, the lake that characterizes the recreation center.

Tropical Tree Garden As the name proposes, this zone cooks particularly to tropical trees.

Wild There are deer, bears, monkeys and flying creatures, for example, doyel, parrots, swallows, herons and sparrows. Monkeys move dependably among the bamboo and some vast trees.[3]

Wild Flower Meadow and Formal Garden A bloom sweetheart's zone, these two zones will have assortments of both garden and wild blossoms to appreciate.

Organic products Garden A topical zone devoted to the Bengal delicacy of natural products, to feature the abundant idea of this piece of earth and to empower nature learning through ID of natural product bearing trees.

Nourishment Court There are around twenty sustenance courts for refreshment before the recreation center passageway.
